Raising Alpacas as a Family

ADAMS SURI ALPACAS Inc. is a family business, owned, run and operated by Daniel and Alicia Adams with ever increasing support by thier three children Alana, Emilio and Tassilo.  We love raising alpacas!

In 2005, while still living in Germany we came across alpacas for the first time in NSW, Australia. Fascination and magic were there immediately. After a couple of weeks of profound research, we knew that raising alpacas was a great lifestyle, a good investment and, if done properly, a profitable business. Within the next months, we did even more research, read literature and articles, travelled to alpaca farms in Europe, the United States and Australia, attended shows and auctions and got ready for our new venture. Finally, during the Spring of 2006, we relocated from Germany to New York and brought our first 15 Suris home.

Today, ADAMS SURI ALPACAS Inc. owns one of the finest Suri herds in the country, and the largest in the country's north east. We know all our animals individually. They do not carry name or ear tags and are handled on a daily basis.  We are committed to our alpacas.  Raising them is our family business.
